Delhi Ramlila adds a 30 foot cockroach effigy alongside Ravan for Dussehra celebrations

Delhi’s Ramlila will burn a 30-foot cockroach effigy alongside Ravan, Kumbhkaran and Meghnad this year.
The cockroach effigy represents 'filth and dirt' and promotes the Swachh Bharat and Swachh Delhi campaigns.
Committee president Ashok Goel said the decision is not politically motivated and promotes cleanliness.
The cockroach effigy will appear among the asuras in Ravan’s army during Pitampura Ramlila celebrations.
