DMK passes nine resolutions to restructure party after Tamil Nadu poll defeat
- DMK on Saturday passed nine resolutions restructuring the party after losing the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in April.
- Party chief MK Stalin said office-bearers' functioning was one reason for the defeat and admitted the changes would be stringent.
- The party will introduce age limits, a two-term cap for all posts and expand organisational districts from 78 to 110.
- The standalone city secretary post in urban centres like Coimbatore and Tambaram has been abolished under the overhaul.
