EC says CEC can be removed only like a Supreme Court judge in affidavit to SC

The Election Commission told the Supreme Court on Monday the CEC can be removed only like a top court judge.
It said any attempt to restrain the CEC from his duties would be contrary to law.
The affidavit answers pleas against CEC Gyanesh Kumar from the Leader of the Opposition and INDIA bloc.
Signed by Kumar and both Election Commissioners, it rejected claims that he was working unilaterally.
