Election Commission asks 20 states, UTs to enrol left-out voters after SIR roll scrutiny
- The Election Commission on September 29, and again Thursday, told 20 states and UTs to enrol left-out voters.
- The move follows scrutiny of about 13 crore names struck off draft rolls in the Special Intensive Revision.
- The drive will use standard Form 6, dropping the question added in July that two Commissioners objected to.
- In a video call, Chief Electoral Officers were told to list deleted voters and help left-out ones re-enrol.
