EU puts ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox under its strictest digital rules

The European Commission has placed ChatGPT, Reddit and Roblox under the Digital Services Act’s toughest tier after they crossed 45 million EU users.
ChatGPT is classed as a search engine, a first for an AI chatbot, while Reddit and Roblox are classified as large online platforms.
The three services have until the end of November to comply, including annual risk checks on illegal content and harm to minors.
ChatGPT’s search function averaged 159 million monthly EU users, compared with 57.2 million for Reddit and 48 million for Roblox.
