Europe gets a new space milestone as Isar Aerospace’s Spectrum reaches orbit
- German startup Isar Aerospace launched its uncrewed Spectrum rocket into orbit on Saturday from Arctic Norway.
- It was the first commercial flight to reach orbit from continental Europe, launched from Andoeya Spaceport.
- The rocket carried five small satellites and a tech experiment, marking Isar's second launch after a 2025 failure.
- Isar recently secured about €200 million from the European Space Agency and is developing a launch site in Canada.
