Ex-Delhi minister Satyendar arrested in DJB corruption case
- On August 18, Delhi ACB arrested former minister Satyendar Jain over alleged corruption in Delhi Jal Board tenders.
- The May 2024 FIR alleged irregularities, tender manipulation and conspiracy in upgrades of Delhi sewage treatment plants.
- Five others were arrested, including ex-DJB CEO Udit Prakash Rai and former contractual consultant Ankit Srivastava.
- Ex- CM Arvind Kejriwal defended Jain, calling the case fake and alleging the arrest was carried out at the BJP's behest.
