France sees nationwide protests as students join Yellow Vests in marches and blockades

France is seeing a day of nationwide protests on Saturday, with 90 marches and hundreds of blockades.
Some draw on the Yellow Vests, the movement that began in 2018 over a fuel tax rise.
They follow three weeks of student unrest over classroom conditions and teacher absences.
The government is seeking backing for spending cuts, with elections less than seven months away.
