Google partners with WIF India to launch AI short film contest

Google Flow and Women in Film India launched the Filmathon on October 6 for AI-powered filmmaking.
The competition invites Indian storytellers aged 18+ to create original short films of up to five minutes using Google Flow.
Google Flow uses Gemini and Veo models to help creators develop visuals, scenes, characters and cinematic sequences.
The top five selected films will get an opportunity to be showcased at IFFI Goa 2026.
