‘Like your movie, money is also Ata Pata Laapata’: SC to Rajpal
- The Supreme Court directed actor Rajpal Yadav to deposit ₹2 crore by October 13 in a cheque-bounce case.
- Yadav has already brought a ₹1.15 crore demand draft, while ₹85 lakh is expected from a buyer of his property.
- The case stems from a ₹5 crore loan linked to his 2012 film Ata Pata Laapata, with seven repayment cheques later dishonoured.
- The CJI joked, “Like your movie, your money is also Ata Pata Laapata”, while the court warned his sentence could be enhanced.
