Hedge funds suffer worst underperformance against S&P 500 in 20 years : Goldman Sachs
- Hedge funds recorded their worst one-month underperformance against the S&P 500 last month.
- When a hedge fund delivers less returns than the S&P then it is said to have underperformed. Last month this gap was the highest in about 20 years.
- Goldman Sachs stated that this happened because most hedge funds exited AI and tech companies a few weeks ago but the stocks kept rising.
