Hugging Face unveils $400 duck-like robot that sings and skates
- The Microduck is a 10-inch, 1.7-pound bipedal robot with one eye, going on sale later this year.
- It can roller skate, carry small objects and sing with other Microducks, and can be taught new tricks in Python or JavaScript.
- Preorders opened Thursday and it has been selling one every four seconds, around $500,000 in sales so far.
- The launch came a day after reports that Nvidia is nearing a deal to buy Hugging Face for roughly $13 billion.
