India flags nearly 3 lakh URLs for cybercrime and abuse
- The Ministry of Home Affairs MHA released the data on 20 August, showing 2.98 lakh URLs flagged for illegal online content.
- The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre I4C identified links related to cybercrime, child abuse material and other unlawful content.
- Between March and July 2026, these URLs were sent to online platforms for takedown action.
- The initiative is part of India’s wider effort to tackle cybercrime, online fraud and harmful digital content.
