CRPF sets up 10-member panel after 59 suicides in 2025
- The Central Reserve Police Force CRPF formed a 10-member group led by its Director General to prevent self-harm cases.
- The move follows 59 suicides among CRPF personnel in 2025, the highest number recorded by the force in five years.
- The panel will review cases, identify common risk factors and suggest welfare, medical and preventive measures.
- The National Human Rights Commission NHRC had also sought a report from the Union Home Ministry and CRPF leadership on the issue.
