India issues health alert over two unauthorised Pakistan-made cosmetics
- India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation CDSCO issued a public health alert on 8 September against two unauthorised "Made in Pakistan" cosmetics.
- It flagged "Goree Beauty Cream" and "Chandni Whitening Cream" for containing excessive heavy metals.
- Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics Dr Rajeev Singh Raghuvanshi said the products lacked import registration and posed toxic health risks.
- Consumers were urged to avoid these products and report label violations to relevant drug authorities.
