India prepares D2M rollout that could let you watch live TV on your phone without internet
- India is preparing Direct-to-Mobile D2M, which works like FM radio by sending TV and video directly to phones.
- D2M lets users watch content without mobile data or Wi-Fi by receiving signals directly on their phones.
- It could provide live TV, educational content and emergency alerts, especially in areas with weak internet.
- Phones need special D2M-compatible hardware to receive these signals, so most existing smartphones may not support it.
