India rolls out built-in caller ID feature without needing Truecaller
- The Indian government has ordered telecom companies to display callers' names and numbers automatically from November 1.
- • The Calling Name Presentation CNAP feature will be enabled by default on 4G and 5G networks, helping users identify unknown callers.
- If a number isn't saved in your contacts, the caller's name registered with their telecom operator will appear on your screen.
- International calls will be labelled "International Call", while 2G and 3G networks will be covered separately under future rules.
