India warns nationals against using Malaysia's visa-free entry to seek jobs
- India's High Commission in Kuala Lumpur on 22 September warned against misuse of Malaysia's 30-day visa-free facility.
- It said Indian nationals were being misled by "unscrupulous agents promising jobs via the tourist entry scheme.
- Overstaying or working under this facility can lead to illegal status, exploitation, detention and legal action.
- Malaysia extended its visa waiver till 31 December 2026, but it covers only tourism, not employment purposes.
