India’s BRICS Bazaar puts crafts, culture and women-led development in focus
- Union Minister Annapurna Devi met Philippine First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos on the sidelines of the BRICS Summit.
- Their discussions focused on women-led development, with Araneta-Marcos expressing interest in India’s schemes for women from marginalised communities.
- Devi also welcomed Zahra Pezeshkian, daughter of Iran’s President, to the BRICS Bazaar at Delhi’s National Crafts Museum.
- The bazaar showcases crafts and textiles from BRICS countries and is being held from September 10–15 under the theme “Crafting Cultures, Connecting People.”
