India's MEA calls USCIRF biased after it urges sanctions on RSS members
- India's External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal on Friday called US Commission on International Religious Freedom biased after it urged sanctions on RSS members.
- Jaiswal said the body has no credibility and has made misleading and provocative statements about India for years.
- USCIRF chair Asif Mahmood alleged RSS-affiliated groups had carried out attacks on religious minorities in India.
- The remarks came ahead of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's visit to the US, Canada and the UK beginning August 25.
