Iran rejects UAE claim of missile launch amid Gulf tensions
- Iran on Tuesday rejected UAE's claim that Tehran launched two ballistic missiles towards the country.
- The UAE Ministry of Defence said its air defence detected two missiles from Iran, with one falling inside UAE waters.
- Iran's spokesperson Baghaei called the allegations contrary to good neighbourliness and urged countries to stop baseless accusations.
- The incident comes amid Gulf tensions over a 14-point memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington in June.
