Karl Bushby completes 28-year global trek on foot across four continents
- • British adventurer Karl Bushby, 57, reached his hometown of Hull on Monday after a 28-year walk of 50,000 km across four continents.
- He left Chile in 1998 with two rules, no motorised transport and no return home until he had finished the journey.
- The trip, meant to take 12 years, was stretched by visa refusals, a Russian visa denial and the Covid-19 pandemic.
- He swam the English Channel to Dover last month, then walked to Hull, where about 500 people welcomed him.
