Meerut court sentences Muskaan and Sahil to death for Saurabh Rajput’s murder

A Meerut court on Wednesday gave the death penalty to Muskaan Rastogi and Sahil Shukla for killing husband Saurabh Rajput.
Prosecution said Rajput was sedated, stabbed on 3 March 2025, and his body sealed in a blue drum with cement.
The couple fled to Himachal Pradesh and texted his family from his phone, until police opened the drum on 17 March.
Judge Arvind Kumar Mishra ruled after 126 hearings and 22 witnesses, citing phone records and shopkeeper testimony.
