Meta may ditch cameras in its next smart glasses over privacy concerns
- Meta is reportedly developing camera-free smart glasses, codenamed “Luna”, with a possible fall 2026 launch.
- The glasses may use six microphones and voice-based AI instead of a camera for some features.
- The move comes as Meta’s camera-equipped glasses face growing privacy concerns over covert recording.
- Meta could unveil Luna at its September 23–24 Connect event, with October shipments reportedly planned.
