‘No logic or rationale’: Delhi HC sets aside 7 Patanjali tax orders
- The Delhi High Court set aside seven Income Tax Appellate Tribunal ITAT orders involving Patanjali Ayurved’s tax appeals.
- The court said the orders were “bereft of any logic, reasoning or rationale” and questioned how they were passed.
- It criticised the ITAT for undue haste, recklessness and lack of proper application of mind while handling the appeals.
- The High Court sent the matters back for fresh consideration, stressing the need for reasoned and proper orders.
