PhonePe and Visa join forces to enhance cardless payments for millions of Indians
- PhonePe and Visa launched Tap to Pay, Cross Border Scan to Pay and Smart Accept on September 9.
- PhonePe is the first Indian app to offer Visa’s Cross Border Scan to Pay for international QR payments.
- Indian travellers will be able to scan Visa-supported QR codes across 14 international markets without carrying a card.
- Smart Accept lets small merchants take card payments directly on smartphones without a separate POS machine.
