- OpenAI and Samsung are jointly working on research and production of next-generation AI chips.
- OpenAI Korea chief Harrison Kim said on September 9 that the chip collaboration has made significant progress.
- Samsung and SK hynix had earlier agreed to supply advanced memory chips for OpenAI’s Stargate AI infrastructure.
- Samsung is also one of OpenAI’s largest enterprise deployments, using ChatGPT and Codex across R&D, manufacturing and other functions.
