PM Modi announces Rs 2 lakh ex gratia for each Kolkata stampede victim’s family

PM Modi has announced Rs 2 lakh for the family of each person killed in the Kolkata stampede.
Each injured person will get Rs 50,000, from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
He said on X that the stampede was extremely distressing and his thoughts were with the bereaved.
At least 19 people died after a crowd surge at a Durga Puja pandal in north Kolkata on Saturday.
