Students protest Gautam’s Sikkim Governor appointment over Ankita case

Students and residents in Gangtok have protested against Dushyant Kumar Gautam’s appointment as Sikkim Governor.
Organiser Anjali said the swearing-in would not silence them and they would keep raising concerns.
They want the Centre to defer it until a CBI inquiry into the Ankita Bhandari murder case ends.
His appointment was announced on 12 October and he is due to be sworn in on 19 October.
