Reddit adds AI narration to posts and comments
- Reddit began testing the feature on August 17, converting selected text posts and comments into AI-narrated videos.
- Users can switch between “Read” and “Play”, with AI voices narrating posts while corresponding text is highlighted.
- Reddit is manually selecting posts for the early experiment to study how users respond to audio and video formats.
- The experiment is live on the web and is being rolled out to iOS and Android, expanding beyond Reddit’s text-first format.
