Rockstar promises its next game will not take another eight years, after GTA 6

GTA 6 took more than eight years to build, with two delays and 4,711 staff working on it.
Rockstar says its next game will not take as long, pointing to the engine and tools built along the way.
The delay came partly because most of the studio was pulled onto Red Dead Redemption 2 first.
The game releases on 19 November, thirteen years after GTA 5.
