Russia offers India 5 more S-400 systems after Operation Sindoor
- Russia has offered to sell India five more S-400 air defence systems in response to an Indian Air Force tender.
- The S-400, known as ‘Sudarshan’ in India, played a key role in intercepting threats during Operation Sindoor.
- India has received four of the five S-400 systems ordered under its 2018 deal, with the final unit expected by November.
- The new systems are expected to strengthen India’s air defence along its eastern and western borders, with deliveries likely to begin three years after the deal is signed.
