Satya Niketan building collapse highlights severe housing crisis near Delhi University
- A six-storey building in Satya Niketan collapsed at about 1.30 pm on Sunday, in an area full of student accommodation.
- Three students died and eight were pulled from the rubble, with backpacks and notebooks scattered across the debris.
- It housed a 75-bed paying guest accommodation, and students say the building had already tilted before it came down.
- Repair work was underway on the ground floor at the time, just months after a similar collapse in Mehrauli killed six.
