SP wins Varanasi teachers’ seat in PM Modi’s constituency as BJP takes four UP seats

Samajwadi Party candidate Lal Bihari Yadav won the Varanasi teachers’ constituency seat.
The seat lies in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, which the BJP lost.
It is the SP’s only win among the five Uttar Pradesh seats declared so far, with the BJP taking four.
The SP boycotted the counting in Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath’s seat, alleging the vote was rigged.
