Study reveals high natural radioactivity levels in Visakhapatnam beach sand

A study found elevated levels of natural radioactivity in Visakhapatnam's beach sand.
Study identified four radioactive elements: Uranium-238, Radium-226, Thorium-232, & Potassium-40.
Thorium-232 levels reached 13,691.7 Bq/kg in some samples taken from the beach.
Experts said, these findings could have significant implications for public health & environmental safety in the region.
