TCS plans major hiring shift, with 80% of new recruits skilled in AI and digital tech

Tata Consultancy Services TCS plans to recruit 80% of its new employees with digital and artificial intelligence AI skills.
TCS Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian said 25–30% of its recent 4,500 hires were AI specialists, while 80% had modern technology skills.
TCS CEO K Krithivasan said both fresh graduates and experienced professionals can benefit from learning new AI skills and technologies.
AI now contributes 10% of TCS revenue, and the company expects growing AI projects to improve profits and create demand for skilled workers.
