UN report documents 1,004 sexual violence cases in Ukraine since Russia invasion
- A UN Human Rights Office report documented 1,004 sexual violence cases in Ukraine since Russia's invasion on 24 February 2022.
- Of these, 89% were attributed to Russian authorities, including military, prison and security service personnel.
- Victims ranged from a four-year-old girl to an 82-year-old woman, with most survivors being men in detention.
- UN High Commissioner Volker Türk urged both nations to investigate all claims and hold perpetrators accountable.
