Uttarakhand minister Subodh Uniyal stops Daler Mehndi’s show over alleged drunkenness
- Uttarakhand Forest Minister Subodh Uniyal stopped singer Daler Mehndi’s performance at the Kunjapuri Mela.
- Uniyal asked him on stage, “You can’t even speak, so how are you going to sing?”, alleging he was drunk.
- He later said Mehndi seemed disoriented, was only lip-syncing, and had been paid Rs 35 lakh to perform.
- A video of the exchange has gone viral, and Mehndi has not responded publicly so far.
