Varun Dhawan calls for more recognition for technicians at Bollywood award shows

• At the IIFA 2027 launch in Mumbai, Varun Dhawan said film technicians deserve more respect and recognition.
He said award shows now focus on many things instead of celebrating films, performances and behind-the-scenes workers.
Varun, whose father David Dhawan is a filmmaker, said technicians no longer receive the respect they once did.
Varun will host IIFA 2027 alongside Ananya Panday, Karan Johar and Maniesh Paul on January 22–23.
