World's tallest Ravana effigy? Delhi organisers claim new 221-foot record
- • A 221-foot Ravana effigy, as tall as a 22-storey building, has been built in Delhi's Dwarka Sector 10 for Dussehra celebrations.
- Around 120 artisans worked for three months using seven tonnes of iron to build the massive structure at a cost of ₹40 lakh.
- The effigy features a 25-foot crown and waterproof velvet clothing, supported by a 10-foot-deep pit to keep it stable.
- Ravana will be burned using a remote control and green crackers, alongside 90-foot effigies of Meghnad and Kumbhakarna.
