Yogi Adityanath allocates ₹604 crore to upgrade UP government schools for Generation Alpha
- The Uttar Pradesh government has allocated ₹604 crore to upgrade infrastructure in government schools and make them more suited to Generation Alpha students.
- The Basic Education Directorate has released ₹302 crore as the first instalment for the planned infrastructure upgrades.
- According to the government, ₹344 crore is allocated for 2,243 primary schools, with ₹172.26 crore released in the initial phase.
- The upgrades will include better classrooms, toilets, bus services, access roads and AI-based learning environments, with the initiative covering nearly 2.5 crore students.
