- Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu said in a post on X on Tuesday that the outlook for software jobs in general is grim.
- He said the company would work hard to avoid mass layoffs, and that its staff count has not grown in 18 months.
- He cited a four-fold rise in the price of servers for data centres and sharply higher AI usage costs as the main pressures.
- Zoho has cut its marketing budget and told staff there will be no usual pay rise this year, for which he apologised.
