150 Pakistani brides reach India after Operation Sindoor visa freeze
- Around 150 Pakistani women from Sindh who were engaged to Indian men have reached India for their weddings after months of delays.
- Their weddings were put on hold after Operation Sindoor led to visa and road-route restrictions for Pakistani visitors entering through the Attari-Wagah route.
- The brides and their families were eventually allowed to travel by air via third countries, including Dubai, Oman, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
- Around 300 more Pakistani women are reportedly waiting in Pakistan, with requests made to the Indian government to facilitate their travel for weddings.
