- Around 5,000 IT professionals and residents of Pune’s Hinjewadi IT Park protested over poor roads, drainage, water supply and infrastructure.
- Protesters said 37 people died in pothole-related accidents in the area over the past year, according to the Forum for IT Employees.
- Hinjewadi’s infrastructure problems are linked to a lack of coordination between agencies including PMRDA, MIDC, PWD and local gram panchayats.
