HMDA to distribute 1.33 lakh eco-friendly Ganesh idols across Hyderabad ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi
- The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority HMDA will distribute 1.33 lakh free eco-friendly Ganesh idols across the city.
- The idols will be distributed at 34 locations in Hyderabad from September 9 to 13 during Ganesh Chaturthi.
- The initiative includes 80,000 eight-inch idols and 53,000 one-foot idols for the public and NGOs.
- HMDA aims to reduce the use of Plaster of Paris idols, curb plastic use and promote environmental awareness during the festival.
