Telangana partners with Zepto to improve facilities for Hyderabad gig workers
- Telangana and Zepto signed an MoU on September 9 to establish five Project PRAGATI Centres across Hyderabad.
- The centres will be open to gig workers across platforms, including quick-commerce, food-delivery and e-commerce workers.
- They will offer facilities such as drinking water, washrooms, first aid, charging points and WiFi for workers.
- A 2024 survey found 69% of Hyderabad gig workers lacked clean washrooms and over 80% lacked shaded rest areas.
