Delhi bans all construction work for 6 weeks this winter — AI cameras will catch violators
- Delhi CM Rekha Gupta announced a complete ban on all construction work from December 10 to January 20 — a six-week shutdown.
- Sites above 500 sq metres will be monitored in real time through a Dust Portal and AI cameras — citizens can report violations to the CM directly.
- Vehicles carrying sand, bricks, cement and debris will also be barred from entering Delhi during the ban period.
- Last winter, sites continued working behind covers despite GRAP restrictions — AI surveillance is being deployed to prevent that this year.
