Andhra minister announces Rs 2,250 crore chemical plant proposal
- Coromandel International, one of India's leading fertiliser companies, has proposed setting up a major new plant in Andhra Pradesh.
- The company plans a phosphoric acid plant with associated units at Mulapeta, a port town in the state's Srikakulam district.
- It has sought 450 acres of land from the state government and will invest Rs 2,250 crore to build the project at the site.
- Agriculture Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaidu announced the proposal on Thursday, saying the company has submitted its request.
