- The beneficiary count fell from 2.43 crore to 1.5 crore — the scheme's budget was cut by Rs 9,500 crore for 2026-27 as a result.
- The Mahayuti's election promise to raise payments from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100 remains unfulfilled.
