For first time, Vande Bharat crosses Chenab Bridge at 100 kmph

Vande Bharat crossed the Chenab Railway Bridge at 100 kmph after Railways increased the permitted speed.
The speed limit on the Katra-Banihal section has been raised from 75 kmph to 100 kmph.
The higher limit is expected to reduce travel time and improve train operations on the Jammu and Kashmir route.
The Chenab Bridge in Reasi stands 359 metres above the riverbed and is the world’s highest railway bridge.
